Wow Mom Kenya is a social impact enterprise dedicated to advocating for child-friendly cities and addressing the childcare challenges faced by women in urban (informal) markets. Our initiative aims at increasing access to quality and affordable childcare services through the provision of modern daycare services in market centers in Nairobi to ensure that young children receive quality care for proper growth and development enabling their caregivers particularly women to engage in more paid labor.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and creative communications expert to join our team. This role will focus on enhancing our brand’s presence across various social media platforms, managing communications, developing strategic marketing and public relations initiatives and fostering partnerships that align with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication, social media management, marketing, and public relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Strategy and Management: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase Wow Mom’s brand awareness, engagement, and growth; Manage and oversee social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.); Create, curate, and schedule engaging content tailored to each platform.
  2. Content Creation and Communication: Create and produce high-quality visuals, videos, and written content; Draft and edit posts, ensuring consistency in voice, style, and messaging; Engage with followers, respond to comments, and manage online conversations; Develop and maintain a social media calendar.
  3. Partnership Development: Identify and engage with potential partners, influencers, and brand ambassadors; Develop and manage relationships with strategic partners to create collaborative campaigns; Coordinate and execute joint promotions, giveaways, and events; Track and analyze partnership performance metrics.
  4. Client Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients; Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses; Understand client needs and requirements, and effectively communicate them to the internal team;.
  5. Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the Wow Mom’s & products/services; Create marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and case studies; Utilize various channels including social media, email marketing, and networking events to reach potential clients.
